The base coat can use either lacquer or liquid color. The lacquer and liquid paint are both easy to apply with either water or acrylic paint. Here is my sample.
The finish has the same look as the base coat because the base paint is slightly lighter. It looks a lot more consistent. Here is a sample of how I apply it to the base:
For the base coat, I have already got two coats of matte to apply to the bottom of the base. When I take off the base coat, I start with 4 coats of the base. The matte polish to get them looks pretty similar to the base coat. But the base coat is slightly darker to give it that extra look. Here is a sample where the nail art brush is done.
After applying the base coat, I start with water. This is how I would normally do it. Then I spray a dab onto the base. The water is quite sticky, so it is tricky to apply.
