Glitter nails need to be protected with a top coat, either shiny or matte. Before applying a top coat, make sure to dust off all the excess glitter. The top coat finishes are applied in a very simple, two-step process.
1) After pouring the coat of polish in the sprayer (usually after using several coats) apply the entire polish to the base of the nail and then gently press on the base, while the base brush is pushed along the base of the nail so that the nail is pressed down. Keep the coat down for 5 or 6 time periods which can last about 6 to 8 hours. Then, with the base brush off remove the entire polish from the base and reapply the next coat with the base brush on the base.
