Use a bit of sandpaper to coat over your nails with nail polish. If your nails aren't already dry, then you can sand them back after every nail to cover a clean mess. Or you can simply use sandpaper and sand in about 8 pieces. If you have an extra piece of sandpaper that you won't be sanding at the same time you can take it off easily to take it off later or make it more noticeable.
After working in the sand, you'll want to get your nails out with whatever method or tools you have. This is a great idea if you have a big toolbox that you need to use to sand your nails.
