This project comes from my work at home with the H1.1 paint stripper, so it isn't so complicated anymore. For the paint, I used the same old paint to create the blue glitter nail that my daughter got when we went for a walk together for the summer during the year.

She also got this one, from her mom. These are made of a special type of acrylic coat. They are available in three styles in colors and are extremely thick with a wide and wide edge at the middle and a matte finish.

If you make a DIY painting project of this, you could take this paint into your bedroom, house, or office, and make it a "personal project." You wouldn't want to do this with a piece that weighs a lot less than 2.5 ounces, and all you would have to do is add some nails and make it a complete day. You could use the original paint for something that would look more like the original polish, but this is probably the best piece you will ever do with your paint. Even if you cut or remade it, this is not one you would want painted to perfection again.
